These mirror fields are created by programmatically generating and then 3D printing small stands for each mirror. These stands position the mirror so that when your eye is in the correct location it reflects a specific location on the adjacent column. The higher parts of this column are darker which allows you to reflect darker and lighter colors producing an image.
